Richland Elementary School Counseling
Mrs. Jelinek
Welcome to Mrs. Jelinek's School Counseling Website! I am the elementary school counselor serving Pre-K through grade 6 at Richland Elementary School. I have the joy of working with students through classroom large group lessons, small group counseling, and short-term individual counseling. I also collaborate with school staff and parents to best meet the needs of all students.

Large Group Classroom Lessons
School counselors support the social emotional learning and academic skills via the American School Counseling Mindset and Behaviors. Core instruction is provided to 100% of students using the Second Step Curriculum. The school counselor supports classroom learning of skills by providing direct instruction of social emotional and academic skills to be successful in school and beyond.
Small Group Counseling
A variety of small groups are offered to students who may benefit from spending some extra time developing academic, social, or emotional skills along with their peers, and to students who are coping with similar life situations.
Individual Counseling
Some students may benefit from short-term one-on-one counseling regarding academic, social or emotional challenges and need additional support to meet those challenges.
